  • April 13 - 24, 2009: Battle of the Schools! For a 2-week period, we need the entire school community and South Pasadena community to collect and contribute all kinds of waste, including e-waste, as we prove that we are the top recyclers in Los Angeles County! On top of helping raise awareness for diverting as much reusable stuff from the landfills, we are in the running for a school-wide prize! Plus, Mrs. Patterson is giving the winning homeroom a pizza & Jamba Juice party! Sponsored by Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and Generation Earth. Things you can bring: e-waste (computers, TVs, printers, cell phones, cameras);"Goodwill" stuff: old clothes, shoes, books, etc.; recyclables: paper, bottles and cans.
